Irish Provinces IRC – Saturday 22nd November 2014 
Location: UL Arena, Limerick.
As the first ROWfit Indoor Rowing Competition of 2014 we wanted something new – so we came up with the Irish Provinces IRC. You will be competing against rowers in the same categories as the IIRC however with the added dimension of beating the best in your province.
Prizes for each Category will be Medals for the top score from each Irish Province and of course a tech Tee-shirt for the Category Champion. Second and third placers will have a second chance at that top position at the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships on January 24th 2015 – a whole nine weeks to get better!
Selecting a province couldn’t be easier. Choose where you were born or where you live or where you go to college. Overseas visitors can choose any one of the four Irish Provinces for example! You must however pick a province – if in doubt drop us a line here at ROWfit.
Times from each province will be used by the Rowing Ireland High Performance Team as part of their selection process.
It is the intention of the organizers to rotate the Irish Provinces IRC from province to province annually so that we really begin to develop the sport and get to see alternate indoor regatta locations around the island. Next Year’s location has yet to be decided!

Slider racing!
In addition to our usual events we hope to host a demonstration of pairs racing on concept 2 sliders. A pair per province will duke it out over 2k for bragging rights! If you or your club are interested in taking part we want to hear from you. ROWfit will supply you with the necessary sliders – all you have to do is supply a team for the event. No charge. Just be able to compete on these excellent aids for anyforward thinking rowing club. For more information please contact ROWfit.
